Financing green projects

One of NEFCO’s larger public energy-efficiency projects have been implemented together with the city of Kyiv.

The project aims at improving the conservation of declining Arctic migratory bird populations that use the Circumpolar Flyway.

Nopef funded project facilitated expansion of Oatly operations to the USA market.

The project envisaged upgrade of the district heating plant in the city of Berezan, Ukraine.

NEFCO financed the wastewater rehabilitation project in Kaliningrad region. Funding was also provided by the local water company OKOS, the EU and Sweden.

The landfill gas project in Belarus was co-financed by NEFCO, Swedfund and Vireo Energy. The gas extracted from the landfills was used for electricity production.

NEFCO co-financed the new factory with a loan of EUR 2.2 million. The project's other backers are Swedfund and Eskaro's parent company, Eskaro Group Ab.

NEFCO co-financed the project at the plastic film production plant in Kaluga by extending a EUR 3 million loan. The other investors are Rani Plast, EBRD and Finnfund.

Bank Lviv is a forerunner in environmental banking. The bank has set up a joint facility with NEFCO aimed at promoting energy efficiency investments.
