Upgrading of Antonivka School in the city of Kherson

The Project was to upgrade the Antonivka Green School constructed for internally displaced children in 2015/2016 with a grant provided by the Finnish Ministry for Foreign Affairs. Its 185 enrolled students and ca. 500 external students now enjoy the modern teaching technologies, comfortable working environment and outdoor playgrounds.

Twinning program between Imatran Lämpö and Ukrainian district heating company

A knowledge-sharing project with the counterparty being the Public Utility “Miskteploenergiya” in Kamyanets Podilskiy, south-west of Ukraine. The twinning programme consisted of four events, of which two were organised in Finland and two in Ukraine. This kind of knowledge sharing projects eventually lead to energy savings and costs savings in the long term.

Utilisation of biomass residues in the renewable sector in Ukraine

The Project included a feasibility study to identify the optimal concepts for the supply, logistics and final utilisation of biomass for energy in Ukraine. Eight case studies from Finland and Ukraine were chosen to be included in the study. Gap analysis of the biomass value chain, from the initial feedstock supply and logistics to the final utilisation was made within the project scope.
